First Taste Review - Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

I tried. I honestly did try. I so love the title. But...the first paragraph lost me. Honestly. It feels like such a tired formula and by God, that's rare coming from me - the reader who still loves vampire novels.

Paranormalcy feels like Heroes meets Supernatural. Noah Bennett with a snarky sense of humor, female and blond version. Night Huntress of Jeaniene Frost made YA. I could be wrong...and we'll see...once I get to finish reading it 

But for now that's what it feels like. I'm really waiting - eager actually - for someone to convince me to read this.
